We are a team of passionate children's book lovers who built this website with a lot of effort and love. Our goal is to bring back to life the wonderful stories we remember from our own childhoods and share them with new generations, while keeping the magic of the classic tales alive. Every fairy tale on our site is carefully chosen to give you the best possible experience.
Antonio, 42 -- Responsible for the technical side of things, editing and SEO. Originally from Spain, Antonio has many years of experience in web development and works closely with Lars and Astrid on content and SEO. As an architect, he brings creativity and a unique perspective on design.
Astrid Bergström, 19 -- Responsible for editing and proofreading. Astrid is originally from Bergen and, although she's only just started her university studies in literature, she has already taken her first steps into children's book writing, having published several children's books online in Norwegian to great success. Her passion for children's books and her talent for editing have made her an essential part of the team, making sure every story is perfectly polished and ready to be shared with readers.
Lars Johansen, 31 -- Responsible for selecting and adapting fairy tales. Lars is originally from Trondheim and has a deep passion for children's books. He's in charge of choosing and adapting the stories so they reach readers in the best possible way. His love of storytelling and his gift for giving each tale a fresh, personal touch are essential to this project.
Our Norwegian roots
Before FabelTales.com, we founded and still run Eventyrforbarn.com, our original Norwegian-language site and Norway's home for children's fairy tales, trusted by Norwegian families. FabelTales.com is our next chapter: taking that same Nordic storytelling tradition — classic tales, Norwegian folklore, and stories passed down for generations — and sharing it with readers across Europe, adapted with care for each language and culture rather than simply translated.
Where the magic ideas happen
Our team works out of a modern coworking space called "InnovasjonsHub," located in the creative and cutting-edge neighborhood of Nordnes in Bergen. The area is known for its dynamic atmosphere and is home to many creators and innovators. At "InnovasjonsHub" we share our workspace with other professionals, which encourages collaboration and the exchange of ideas -- an inspiring setting that gives us the perfect conditions to develop new projects.
We hope our fairy tales bring you as much joy as they bring us, and if you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with us here.
